About David
My path to becoming a Reiki Master and spiritual healer was a long one—although, looking back, the signs were always there.
I grew up in a strict Christian tradition that taught me discipline, personal conviction, and the strength to be different. It also inspired questions. If God is love, what about people whose beliefs or lives follow a different path? Those questions led me to explore other spiritual traditions with an open mind and a persistent sense that there was something more—both in the world and within me.
I had always assumed everyone possessed a strong intuition about people and the energy around them. It was only later, in my professional life, that I began to understand that what I sensed might be unusual.
My journey into energy healing opened further after years of bodybuilding-related injuries left me with pain and limited mobility in both shoulders. A physical therapist introduced me to an experience I could not ignore. Alongside traditional treatment, he would become still, close his eyes, and place his hands over my shoulders. The sensation felt electric. After only a few sessions, years of pain and restricted movement had changed dramatically.
That experience encouraged me to explore my own intuitive gifts. Reiki felt like a natural place to begin—and when I encountered it, something immediately clicked.
I completed all three levels of Reiki through in-person training with Reiki Master and author Nicholas Pearson. Since completing my advanced training, I have offered hands-on and remote Reiki to friends and others in my life. Opening Cordavidis Wellness is my way of making that support available to more people.
Cordavidis loosely means “the Heart of David.” It reflects the way I try to move through the world and what others have often sensed in me: a large, kind, open heart and a calming presence.
My sessions are compassionate, intuitive, and approachable. You do not need to understand chakras, follow a particular religion, or know anything about energy healing. Cordavidis welcomes people of every faith and those with no faith tradition at all. All I ask is that you bring an open mind—and, if you are curious, your questions. I am an open book and could happily talk about this work for as long as we both have time.
People experience Reiki differently. You might notice warmth, movement, lightness, imagery, a taste or scent, or a feeling of floating. You may also feel very little during the session. There is no correct response and nothing you need to perform. My intention is simply to offer a supportive space where you can rest, reconnect, and perhaps rediscover a little joy and wonder.
Outside of my spiritual practice, I am grounded by my wife, our five children, and our two dogs. Dogs are everything to me. My education and professional life are rooted in computer science, while music—my college minor and one of the great loves of my life—keeps another part of me alive. I value both the analytical and intuitive sides of being human.
Whether you arrive close to your breaking point, feeling completely joyful, or simply wondering whether there might be something more, you are welcome here. I look forward to meeting you.
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. I will always encourage you to consult an appropriate licensed healthcare professional about physical or mental-health concerns.
Cordavidis means “the Heart of David.”
A compassionate, calming, and openhearted space for everyone.
